This dive-not-really space has a rich history in terms of Long Beach bar culture, introducing the city to bottles of Hudson Baby Bourbon while also hosting some of the city's first craft cocktail events (if anyone remembers Gentleman's Drink, they'll know that The Stache effectively introduced Long Beach to a proper Old Fashioned).

And in that very sense, The Stache Bar filled what was an empty niche in Long Beach: a place that harbored the art of craft cocktails and beer but simultaneously exuded our city’s kickback vibe. Even more respectable is the fact that owner Brett Gallo understood a very humbling thing: He wasn't giving the space the love it deserved. Across the past year, his heightened presence has encouraged bar manager Priscilla In to return back to speciality cocktail menus, with her and her crew finding new inspiration in creating house-made syrups, blends, garnishes, and a newly minted sense of pride.
